Pioneer School

Absolutely amazing! One of the most exhausting things I think I will ever do. Here are a few nuggets I enjoyed from the class:

The moon’s surface, one of our illuminators, is composed of 50% glass. It reflects the glory and light of the sun. In like manner we shine as illuminators reflecting Jehovah’s light in this bedarkened world. 2 Cor 3:18

Personal study is a part of our worship that enhances our worship.

The purpose of headship is to preserve unity and ensure that all things take place decently and by arrangement.

A good teacher will make himself progressively unnecessary.

Endurance is like dancing with a giant gorilla, you don’t decide when to quit.

One hopefully quick story, Jehovah does answer our prayers. Brother and Sister Larsen had been asked to take a substitute assignment in Arizona. They were unsure how they would make it financially; they would have to drive 4-5 hours each weekend home to do secular work. While doing their bible reading they received a phone call to help relief work in New Orleans two weeks before their assignment to Arizona. Brother Larsen said he would have to call his overseer back. He discussed it with his wife due to the cost they would accrue. They said a prayer for help and returned to their Bible reading. The next scripture they read was Psalm 4:5 (look it up!). They immediately called their overseer to let him know they would be attending New Orleans. He said he almost forgot to tell them the brothers and sisters in Arizona pulled together to foot the entire bill.

Absolutely amazing what Jehovah will do to sustain his servants!
