Babies First Picture

Jacob and I had our second doctors visit today. We got to hear the babies heart beat for the first time (182 beats per minute). During my exam the Dr told me that either I'm further along than we thought or we're having twins. He then said we would do an ultrasound and left the room.

Jacobs face was very similar to the one he made when I told him I was pregnant...shear panic! He then resolved that there was no use stressing because if we would have twins it's not like we could send one back.

When we were waiting for the ultrasound we saw our friends Nate and Emma in the waiting room (their also pregnant). We ended up getting to do a tour of the birthing center upstairs which is absolutely awesome!

It's like a hotel suite. There's a living room with wireless internet, tv, couch, table and chairs, fridge and microwave. Then you walk into the bedroom with a double maybe queen bed. Off of the bedroom is a bathroom with a jacuzzi birthing tub and toilet and sink. So sweet!

Anyways after the tour I got to go in for my ultrasound. The nurse was kind of irritated for my questions. I don't think she exactly understood what I was asking. After a couple shots of the olive sized child in my tummy I asked that it was only one we were looking at. With a quizzical look the nurse said yes. When I explained the reason for my question she said, "He tells everyone their having twins since he had some six months ago."

Anyways that's about it. I want to get our ultra sound picture on here but not quite sure how to work my scanner.

Growing Up

So not quite sure what it means that you don't feel grown up and now your responsible for raising another person. Hopefully this means you are a "cool" mom or dad.

I bring this up because of my husband. There was a new skate park opened up in town the last few weeks. My 25 year old husband (soon to be dad) got super excited and went online and bought a new board.

Now as I sit on the computer and shop for nursery supplies and baby names my husband is in "his room" practicing how to ollie.

I just love his little pea pickin' heart. :)
So I apologize for the break in communication. Apparently I was very busy for the last few months because, as you may know, WE'RE PREGNANT!
